Lance Cpl. Hunter “HD” Hogan

He wanted to be a rodeo cowboy.
He wanted to marry a pretty girl.
He wanted to be a hunter, a fisherman, a fan of the outdoors.
Most of all, he wanted to be a United States Marine.

In his short 21 years of life, Lance Cpl. Hunter Hogan achieved his dreams.
He became an accomplished cowboy, riding bareback, saddle broncs and bulls.
He married a lovely woman named Brittney on Dec. 29, 2010.
He took the time to hunt and fish, cherished the quiet moments.

Hunter was truly a good person and best friend, who worked hard, he loved and was loved. As a Marine, he was willing to lay down his life for all that we believe in, hope for, and the freedoms we enjoy. And for that, we want to say thank you, Hunter. He, like his fellow Marines, was willing, strong and gives of themselves for others.

Lance Corporal Hunter Hogan was killed in action in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, on Saturday, June 23, 2012, while serving with the 1st Battalion, 8th Marines, 2nd Marine division.

Hunter was an alumni member of the NHSRA, IHSRA and SIJRA….
